Serving as an educational, training and enterprise resource for students and entrepreneurial businesses.

Some of the services that the CFE has provided include:

• Supporting Montgomery College's business program initiatives and outreach
• Acting as a catalyst for enterprise development of the Biotech, Information Technology, Manufacturing, and Service sectors of the local economy
• Assisting in the development of entrepreneurial business programs and curricula for business owners, managers, scientists, and students
• Helping to develop a unique entrepreneurial growth company database
• Providing entrepreneurs with linkages to regional and national early-stage capital sources
• Conducting "first look" business plan screening and assessments
